The hybrid future
AV designers and architects around the country are reporting a new design thrust in churches that have actually opened since 2019 and those currently on the boards. And that thrust is toward a new hybrid model.
One component in the approach is the inclusion of dedicated studio space for the creation of a church's digital content. Another facet: an increased emphasis on the addition of dedicated outdoor space. Think amphitheater-type setups, cafe-like seating areas, outdoor movie nights on the lawn, and even dog parks.
