Creative Director and Cinematographer Josh Garner recently collaborated with Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale to film and light a music video completely lit with Nanlite lighting fixtures.

The behind the scenes video below takes a look at how he created atmosphere for the Ocean’s Edge School of Worship music video to help them bring about their message.

A Deeper Look into the Nanlite Fixtures:
Pavotube 15C/Pavotube 30C
Using tubes that light up has become extremely popular for music videos and various live productions. Nanlite offers two types of pavotubes: the Pavotube 15C which is a two foot tube and the Pavotube 30C which is their four foot tube.
Not only are these lights RGB and full of various lighting effects, they’re also great for lighting within the shot and being used for their shape as well as their light quality. Josh Garner did just that for the Ocean’s School of Workshop videos. Displaying them throughout the scene while the band performed live for the cameras.
MixPanel 150
Another lighting fixture you’ll see in full display within the video is Nanlite’s MixPanel 150, a lighting panel that also has RGB, gels, effects and even and soft and hard mode.
In this particular behind the scenes, Josh specifically got to use the MixPanel 150 but Nanlite also has a smaller version of this fixture called the MixPanel 60.
Forza 500 with a Para 150 Softbox
To add general exposure to the scene, Josh also opted to have a Nanlite Forza 500 over head with a 59 inch Para 150 Softbox.
The Forza 500 is a powerful daylight monolight and the 150 softbox is Nanlite’s largest modifier. This gave the crew more than enough filler light that then allowed the other lights to play within the shots themselves.
