First Baptist Concord (FBC) is a Knoxville-area church that recently renovated its 25-year-old main worship center and chose to install L-ISA immersive technology using an L-Acoustics A Series-based loudspeaker system. The church has both a choir and orchestra worship service, as well as a very contemporary rock-style service.
After consulting with Solotech’s Nashville team to help it design and integrate new audio, video, and lighting systems for the space, everyone agreed L-ISA was the way to go for many reasons including budget, coverage, sightlines, space, connection, and sound quality.
"The immersive system allows our team to shape the sound in creative ways not previously possible with just a stereo system. To put it simply, this system has completely blown away our expectations, and we are super-pleased with the result,” says Worship Pastor, David Henderson.
Henderson says the new system is also less of a distraction both visibly and acoustically.
In this video, we interview the church’s Creative Pastor, Thomas Frankie, and Josh Maichele from L-Acoustics about the church’s goal of achieving immersive object-based sound with L-ISA and its ability to solve audio problems like mixing a large orchestra and aesthetic issues like sight lines.
