The Hardware
The //ROGUE is one of five systems in the creative.space platform and is the only system available for purchase. For a limited time, the //ROGUE includes a free year of proactive support, making it the perfect way for customers to experience the benefits of DigitalGlue’s unique service with a system they can own. For customers wanting to buy a //ROGUE, DigitalGlue is now offering an introductory promotion that brings the price down to $4,975 for 48TB of RAW storage (normally $5,995) and $6,375 for 64TB of RAW storage (normally $6,995). Additional add-ons available are NVME M.2 drives for ultra-fast caching (2TB for $595 and 4TB for $1,695), SATA M.2 for DaVinci Resolve database (500GB for $249 and 1TB for $399) or combine both drives for package pricing. These add-ons can be included in the 0% financing.

As a Systems Integrator, DigitalGlue has helped media organizations build and support video-centric solutions for over 18 years by combining cutting edge technology with custom software, specializing in taking complex workflows and making them simple. As the industry transitioned from tape to file-based workflows, DigitalGlue worked with customers to evaluate and select the right storage and media asset management solutions for their needs. During this process, they discovered that unrealistically high price points and overly complex, yet underdeveloped, software put existing options out of reach for most video teams.

Out of necessity, a solution was born. Rather than pay upfront for a traditional shared storage server with an annual service level agreement covering reactive support, creative.space bundles hardware, software, and proactive support into a fixed monthly rate based on a 1, 2, 3, or 5-year contract. Unlike purchasing or leasing storage, a creative.space service contract is flexible, allowing customers to adapt to changing needs with modular or complete upgrades. DigitalGlue’s proactive monitoring enables bottlenecks to be identified and addressed before rather than after they interrupt work, saving customers from unexpected delays and even data loss.
The backend development team works with customers to build powerful API toolsets that eliminate the need for command-line operations. The front-end team builds user interfaces that are intuitive and practical for customers and tuned to their workflows. Key Software Features
Spaces (aka "Volumes"): Designed to streamline project and capacity management within your storage solution. A Space can be set up and managed as if it were its own storage device, while sharing the same capacity and performance as the rest of the Space.
Access Control: creative.space is the first to integrate an LDAP server directly into a storage solution to support extended access control. Administrators can create users, assign them to specific roles and groups with customizable permission sets to restrict or give access to Spaces, folders, and files within the Web Application.
Folder Structure Templates: Keeping your files and folders organized is simple and intuitive with the Folder Structure Templates feature. Users can build templates using custom variables in brackets such as [project name], [date], [client]. Once the template is finalized, you just fill out a form and everything appears with the proper names. Administrators can also restrict user permissions to avoid human error or overriding that might occur.
ZFS File System: DigitalGlue is dedicated to providing the highest performance storage solution at the lowest cost to their customers. The ZFS file system uses an in-memory database to transfer and deliver data faster than legacy storage at a fraction of the cost. While managing ZFS typically requires an expert I.T. team, the creative.space Web Application makes it simple and intuitive for non-technical creatives.
Snapshots: A snapshot is simply an exact picture of the state of your data at a certain point in time. It is based upon a single dataset (we call it a “Space”). Snapshots and rollbacks are almost instantaneous and don’t require additional storage space until any active files are deleted. creative.space’s enhanced features allow users to browse and restore from snapshots, schedule snapshots in future, set an expiration date, and assign administrative access based upon user roles.
System Monitoring and Alerts: Advanced monitoring tracks over 2000 metrics per second, triggering alarms that notify internal and external proactive support teams when potential issues arise. The built-in monitoring dashboard displays intuitive charts for system management, and administrators can view connected users as well as their usage to address bandwidth bottlenecks right away.
Remote Access: The creative.space software is VPN agnostic to promote remote access anywhere since connecting, collaborating and creating is the top priority. They integrated the ZeroTier client into each creative.space node so users without a preferred VPN provider can get connected remotely for free with their own encrypted virtual network. For customers wanting a hardware VPN, they partnered with Fortinet, which allows users to log into the VPN using their creative.space credentials.
