Often people say to me, “If I had the same resources you have, I could make my services awesome and everyone would respect my leadership skills and decisions.” Gateway Church started in Pastor Robert's house. I'm pretty sure he didn't have moving lights, cool sound systems, and video projection systems in his house.
It's not about how much you have. I have had the privilege of working with churches that only had a microphone and a broken speaker, all of which was used to announce food lines for the homeless. Churches with far less resources are just as impactful as the ones I am apart of now.
What is a "gut-check"?
I believe Gateway Church has grown because leadership listens to what I used to call a “gut check”.
