My favorite urban legend is that churches, like schools, take the summers off, or that most churches wouldn't be able to support a church tech full-time. In reality, there's enough work most weeks to keep us busy from sun up to sun down (and then some).
The amount of burnout I see in church techs never ceases to amaze me, because a person isn't made to work 48-hour days.

I'd like to point fingers at people. Well, it's the pastor or all of the ministries we serve. Or it's simply that I'm just not given enough resources. In reality, the only person I have to point a finger at is… myself.
My name is Denny, and I'm a workaholic.
