Nanlite is reinventing the softbox with a new Rapid series designed to be set up in seconds and folds flat when collapsed. The Rapid 90 (SB-RP90) and Rapid 120 (SB- RP120) parabolic softboxes feature an integrated design with a rapid-latch speed ring and enhanced structural rigidity.

Universal Bowens Mount
The Rapid 90 and Rapid 120 parabolic softboxes are equipped with a Bowens mount, making them compatible with Nanlite Forza, FC and FS series fixtures, and also with other Bowens mount light fixtures in the market.
Light Quality
Instant setup doesn’t change the light quality of the Rapid 90 and Rapid 120 softboxes. “Both offer professional-grade lighting performance, maintaining purity of color and ensuring an even spread,” the announcement continues.
Controlled Diffusion
A standard diffuser and a lite diffuser are included, offering flexible options to control the shape and look of the light. The diffusers are made of high-density material, providing an even diffusing effect. The diffusion fabric is made from durable and wear-resistant nylon which is designed to withstand the rigors of on-set use. The interior of each Rapid 90 or Rapid 120 softbox features reflective fabric that intensifies the light, effectively reducing light loss and minimising color shift. An eggcrate is included that can further control the direction and spread of the light, allowing users to light the subject with minimal spill onto other areas.
Rapid series softboxes offer structural rigidity and stability, while eliminating multiple components that slow down setup. The softbox evenly distributes pressure when subjected to external forces due to the support of 16 reliable high- carbon steel ribs. These reduce the risk of deformation and are designed to make each softbox more wind-resistant when outdoors.
