While it might seem obvious to artists and creative types, casting the need for churches to create original film and media to executive leadership can sometimes prove to be a daunting task. In this session we will resource artists and leaders to engage those conversations with a solid scriptural and strategic foundations for investing resources into media ministry. This panel session will provide inspiration, encouragement and insights into the world of original film, animation, photography, design, writing, and communications created specifically for churches. What's Next for Church Filmmaking - Panel Discussion

Optimizing Video for Social Media
Sometimes it only takes a few simple changes to help a video make the jump from great to viral. In this session we’ll help church film and communications teams evaluate and optimize the projects you’re already creating for social medial impact. Andrew Barnes, Director of Communications - Providence Church
Originally from Charlotte, NC, Andrew's passion for helping the Church communicate effectively took root in college while producing videos as a student with CRU. Over the next decade, his skillset and focus on church communications grew as he served with various ministries and churches as a freelancer and staff member. Andrew moved to Raleigh in 2012 to begin work at Providence Church. He's happily married to Meg, his wife of almost two years.

Bryan Williford, Content Creator - Prestonwood Baptist Church
Bryan Williford is lead content creator at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX, a church with over 42,000 members, where he also serves as video producer, director of photography and video editor. A ten-time Telly Award Winner and an Emmy-nominated producer with 17 years of experience, he has worked with clients such as I Am Second, Harvest America, Cru, IMB as well as many other churches and ministries across the nation.

Curtis Andrusko, Creative Pastor - The Summit Church
Originally from Atlanta, Curtis moved to the Raleigh-Durham area in 2011 to pursue a master’s degree at nearby Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He’s been working at The Summit Church in various roles since 2012, and has been the church’s creative pastor since June 2016, where he leads the communications and creative team. Curtis has been married for 8.5 years and has two daughters, Aviyah (2.5) and Norah (1). He’s passionate about leading, preaching, creating, and connecting.

Jason Druss, Product Specialist - Blackmagic Design
Jason Druss is a product specialist at Blackmagic Design. Focusing on Davinci Resolve and cameras, Jason enjoys making documentaries and seamlessly integrating editing, color correction and audio mixing into one simple workflow. Jason resides in Philadelphia.

Jesse Henning, Film and Media Director - Newhope Church
Jesse Henning is a storyteller at heart with a passion for ministry and the art of filmmaking. He was a youth pastor for three years before feeling a strong calling into media ministry. Since 2009 he has been on a mission to craft and create visual stories of purpose and power. He has completed many projects including commercials, animations, music videos, short films, and a feature film. He is completely self-taught and is an avid pursuer of craftsmanship and story, which is a lifelong journey. Jesse has experience as a writer, director, cinematographer, editor, special effects artist, and as a 2D/3D animator. He is currently the film and media director at Newhope Church in Durham, NC where he serves with his beautiful wife, Rachel.

Jim Kumorek, Owner - Spreading Flames Media
Jim Kumorek is a frequent contributor to both Church Production Magazine and Worship Facilities Magazine, covering audio, video and lighting topics for houses of worship. Currently owner of Spreading Flames Media, a video production company, in the past he has been the managing editor at Church Production Magazine and Worship Facilities Magazine; a church technical director at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, IL; and a software engineer with 20 years’ experience. He lives with his wife of 32 years in Cary, North Carolina.

Joe Woolworth, Content Creator - Hope Community Church
Joe was born and raised in Michigan and became a Christian as a teenager. He is a graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis MN and has 15+ years of ministry experience in various roles in the church. He has a passion for inspiring creatives to leverage their talent to tell better stories. He has been married to his wife, Lori, since 1999 and they have two daughters.

John Ware, Founder & Director - 168 Film Project
John hails from Columbus, Ohio and attended film school at Miami (OH) University, where he graduated with honors. He is the founder of the 168 Film Project and is the writer/director of "Unbridled," starring Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), TC Stallings (War Room), Tea McKay, Jenn Gotzon, Dey Young, Rachel Hendrix. He now lives in Burbank, CA.

Mark D'Addio, VP Business Development - VITEC
With a background in broadcast and video technology for more than 20 years, Mark is responsible for VITEC’s house-of-worship business. With Mark’s direction, VITEC has developed streaming solutions that address the ever-evolving applications for churches.

Mark Hanna, Director - FxN Productions
Mark’s technical experience started in 1994 as a volunteer front-of-house operator for a very small church. After volunteering in technical ministry for the next decade, he opened a production company in 2004 to start doing freelance videography, editing and live event work. In 2007 he “went pro” in what had been his passion for many years and started working in full-time professional technical ministry. He now consults for churches, write for various magazines, and does freelance creative services and live production.

Ryan Geesaman, Video Production Director - LCBC
Ryan A. Geesaman has been involved in media and technology since the seventh grade. He holds a degree in Television Production from Ithaca College and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from Penn State University. Since 2004, he has served as video production director at LCBC, a multisite church based in Manheim, PA with a weekly attendance of over 16,000. There he oversees the production of music videos, promotional materials, video curriculum and teaching illustrations for multiple environments at nine campuses. He is also an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, PA, teaching courses in media and video production. When not behind a camera or in front of a computer, Mr. Geesaman is a husband, father, avid film-watcher, and enjoys the challenges of home-improvement.

Thomas Whited, Senior Filmmaker - Hope Community Church
Thomas has been pursuing his passion for storytelling through church film as a senior filmmaker at Hope Community Church in Raleigh, NC, and as an independent filmmaker.

Woody Davis, Filmmaker - Hope Community Church
Woody Davis began doing stop-motion animations at age eleven and entered his first film festival at fifteen. His career in content creation started while still in high school as a volunteer production assistant at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Ill. Shortly thereafter, he was hired as a full-time associate filmmaker at Elmbrook Church in Milwaukee, Wis. In 2016, Woody moved to Raleigh, NC to join the film team at Hope Community Church.
