Capture: What will Capture attendees find when they visit the Sony Faith booth?
Harper: Sony Faith will be showcasing our latest Cinematic full-frame cameras, the FX3, FX6, FX9 and VENICE. We will also have the world’s smallest Alpha Mirrorless Camera-ready Professional Drone, the Airpeak S1 on display, that can fly a full-frame Alpha camera. The Airpeak S1 was purpose-built for creatives to add that extra dimension to their productions. During the show, we will have experts on hand to demo and discuss the benefits of the drone for film makers in their next production.
Capture: What are some of the most interesting Sony Faith church projects?
Harper: Below are just a few of the recent Sony Faith projects that we have had the pleasure of working on:
Gateway Church (Southlake, TX) – A legacy Sony customer, Gateway Church placed the first order of the new Super 35mm HDC-F5500 Cinematic-Broadcast Camera, and they are among the first clients to use the camera worldwide. They had also installed an XVS-9000 4/ME 4K switcher, PWS-4500 8-channel 4K server, BRAVIA professional 4K HDR displays and PVM professional production monitors through the integration firm, Beck Associates. They also purchased the new XVS-G1 switcher for their Dallas Campus.
Harvest Christian Fellowship (Riverside, CA) – Harvest is a long-time Sony client, who recently installed our HDC-3500 4K studio cameras working with the 4K VENICE Cinema cameras. The VENICE cameras are being used as live cameras during services, and then the cameras are used in the field during the week to shoot videos for on-line, and many other Harvest events.
Cherry Hills (Denver, CO) – Cherry Hills Community Church was looking to upgrade their cameras to 4K HDR options that achieve a cinematic look and feel using broadcast camera controls. They wanted to work with a manufacturer that could provide a piece of equipment that had 4K and HDR capabilities. Because they were also planning to use PTZ cameras, they wanted to choose something that would work easily alongside and complement their broadcast camera. Cherry Hills purchased (4) Sony HDC-3500 HD/4K, HDR studio cameras, (2) Sony PXW-F55 CineAlta HD/4K HDR Live cameras, and (3) Sony BRC-X1000 4K PTZ cameras.
