In a far corner of their booth Sennheiser was showing a prototype wireless microphone with built-in MIDI trigger controls that turn a wireless mic into a percussion instrument, a looping vocal controller, sound effects trigger/controller or anything else you could conceivably control with MIDI.
The Shure was bustling with traffic as the company showed its PGX Digital Wireless System, the first digital wireless microphone system in the company's history, and previewed the new PSM 1000 Dual Channel Personal Monitor System. New in-ear monitors, the SE215, join the company's SE315, SE425, and SE535 Sound Isolating Earphone models introduced within the last year. Shure says the SE215 earphones are ideal for live performance, critical listening, and serve as the perfect upgrade for portable digital devices. At $99 retail, they are also Shure's lowest price professional earphones to date.
