TobyMac, a seven-time Grammy award winner and Billboard No. 1 album Christian artist, has used Shure’s wireless microphones to help him create engaging, soul-stirring music performances for more than a decade. Now, he and Shure are partnering to help faith leaders take their ministry’s sound to the next level with wireless audio.
As part of the partnership announcement, Shure is launching two new guides to equip houses of worship with the information they need to make informed audio investments.
“What truly sets Shure apart from the rest is the unwavering reliability. No matter how inspired I am, or how far I venture into the crowd, I know my voice will always come through crystal clear to the audience,” says Mac. Shure’s products offer a level of dependability that allows me to focus solely on delivering the music and the message. They’ve given me the freedom to express myself fully and connect with the audience on another level.”
Shure and TobyMac want to emphasize the importance of reliable wireless audio equipment for musicians giving them the freedom to move around and better interact with their audience. For this reason, they are partnering to support worship leaders looking to establish dependable audio environments that create an immersive and engaging worship experience, no matter the size of the church, budget, or level of expertise.
Pat Haapanen, TobyMac’s front-of-house audio engineer, and Heath Mahon, TobyMac’s monitor engineer, are experts at shaping TobyMac’s sound, helping him deliver powerful messages through his performances using powerful wireless technology, including Shure’s Emmy Award-winning Axient ® Digital Wireless Microphone System, AD600 Digital Spectrum Manager, PSM 1000 In-Ear Personal Monitoring System, AD610, Wireless Workbench 7, and KSM11 Wireless Cardioid Condenser microphone capsule.
“Over the years, I've relied on a bunch of Shure products, and they always give us fantastic sound quality," Pat shares. "Their products are durable, well-made, and can endure a lot while we're traveling. The KSM11 microphone does really well for enhancing TobyMac's voice. It brings out a clear and strong presence, resulting in a truly natural and enjoyable vocal performance. The KSM11 provides really nice lows and a smooth, crisp top end that adds to the overall quality.”
Heath shares, “I've been working with TobyMac for about 15 years now. Currently, we're using Axient Digital for vocals, horns, and guitars in our setup. For in-ear monitoring, we've chosen the PSM 1000s, and the AD600 helps monitor the entire spectrum. Axient Digital's broad tuning range is handy, because it lets us fit more channels into tight spaces using the entire spectrum available. Axient Digital is a big reason why many people in our line of work succeed: it's flexible, covers a wide range, and lets us make the most of all the available frequencies. Everywhere you look in different equipment racks, you'll find some kind of Shure product, whether it's in-ear monitors, microphones, or the Axient Digital Wireless."
“TobyMac’s unparalleled dedication to delivering electrifying, thoroughly engaging musical performances makes him the ideal collaborator for Shure,” says Ryan Smith, Regional Manager, Artist Relations, at Shure.
Nick Wood, Senior Director, Wireless Category, at Shure, echoes, “We’re thrilled to partner with TobyMac to advance our mission of equipping worship leaders with the expertise needed to make informed wireless audio investments, ensuring their congregations can enjoy the most engaging services.”
