This year the highly acclaimed biblical theater company, Sight & Sound, marks 40 years of uplifting, faith-affirming, live-action entertainment—in a story that could be its own stage show.
For 40 years Sight & Sound Theatres has delivered unforgettable, uplifting experiences that bring the Bible to life onstage in jaw-dropping scale. In 2,000-seat theaters in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Branson, Missouri, more than a million people each year experience original dramatizations of the Bible's most famous stories of faith, courage and redemption. Sight & Sound Theatres' signature special features include spectacular digital effects, massive sets and live animals — on stage and in the aisles.
“We pinch ourselves for getting to do this work,” CEO Matt Neff says. “We're surrounded by wildly creative people, and every day thousands of guests leave with an ancient story as a source of new hope.”

CEO, Sight & Sound.
If hope is Sight & Sound's dominant theme, tenacity shines through in the subplots. In 1997 when a fire destroyed its second facility (the 1,400-seat auditorium in Lancaster County), Sight & Sound was back in 18 months with a massive, state-of-the-art, 2,000-seat, opera house-sized theatre. The Branson site—just like the Lancaster County structure—opened in 2008.
More than a million people each year experience a Sight & Sound Theatres production—with its trademark towering sets, dazzling special effects, animals on stage, original music and large casts.
“We stand on four-decades of purposeful entertainment,” President and Chief Creative Officer Josh Enck says. “And we're still growing, learning, changing.”
This summer Sight & Sound Theatres received TripAdvisor's highly regarded Certificate of Excellence for businesses that have earned excellent traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.
