Ross Video announces its newest Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera in the PivotCam family, the PivotCam-SE. Featuring a new 12.4 megapixel, ½ inch CMOS sensor, the PivotCam-SE captures fully progressive 1080P HD video. The PivotCam-SE’s Ethernet interface offers the option for single cable connectivity, providing remote control via IP Visca protocol, video output using 4KUHD IP Streaming, and Power over Ethernet, all over a standard CAT5E cable.
The new PivotCam-SE also offers a 3G-SDI output, and an external synchronization (Genlock) input, designed to simplify system integration. The optical stability of the PivotCam-SE has been enhanced with the addition of a second arm, which is designed to allow a clean and stable image on the tightest shots provided by the 23X optical and 2X lossless digital zoom.
“After the overwhelming response to the first PivotCam release in 2017, we’re incredibly excited to introduce the new PivotCam-SE. Following the principles of Smart Evolution (SE), we’ve incorporated valuable customer feedback while maintaining the Ross Video tradition of adding new features at an affordable price point,” says Bruce Takasaki, Marketing Product Manager, Robotics and Cameras. “The result is a higher performance camera that is easier to deploy, integrate and operate.”
