QSC has released its new E Series of passive loudspeakers at the 2016 Winter NAMM show. Designed for sound reinforcement in a wide variety of applications including live performance, DJ and dance music, stage monitoring, and other entertainment, the four new models offer seamless integration and optimization with the company's PLD and GXD amplifiers and TouchMix digital mixers.
The E10 model features a 10-inch woofer and 2.5 voice-coil, suitable as a stage monitor or small PA deployment. With a 12-inch woofer and 3-inch voice coil, the E12 is a trapezoidal, two-way speaker intended for larger deployments where additional low end is needed. The E15 is also a trapezoidal, two-way loudspeaker using a 15-inch woofer and 3-inch voice coil, with additional low end response and power handling. Rounding out the series is the E18SW subwoofer which features a single 18-inch aluminum frame woofer, further extending low end response for high-output applications. Each E18SW subwoofer includes a threaded pole mount compatible with any of the E Series two-way models. For greater portability, attachment points for optional casters come standard with every subwoofer.
All E Series models are constructed of rugged plywood and heavy-duty black, coated paint. All-metal, foam-lined grills offer additional protection. Each loudspeaker includes a 35mm socket, allowing the speaker to be mounted vertically on a pole or angled down by 10º to improve coverage directivity. Rear input connections include dual NL4 and screw terminal receptacles.
E Series DSP settings are currently available for download on the QSC website.
