February of 2024 will mark the 50th anniversary for Famous Stages, a leading supplier of truss and stage equipment with a warehouse and showroom in Houston, Texas.
The company has been in business since 1974 specializing in trussing, video walls, sound and lighting for small and midsize churches wanting to upgrade without hiring expensive designers, contractors and installers.

Most of the company’s packages are installed by church leaders and members, which can result in substantial savings. “We often hear from our church customers that they saved more than half of what their quotes from Designer/Contractors were,” the release explains.
The process for working with Famous Stages begins with a phone call. “Many church customers call us and describe what they currently have and what they want. Joey has been doing this so long that he can start hand drawing what they describe while they are talking, and with a few modifications he can email the customer a drawing that closely represents what they have,”
Then hand drawings are emailed to customers to be modified to exact specifications. Joe then creates a computer-generated 3D drawing with accurate measurements for the customer to confirm.
“Most customers are surprised at how quickly all of this can take place! It's not unusual for these steps to be completed in one or two days. Many church customers have received their trussing one week after their first call!”
And if customers know what they want, but aren’t sure exactly what they need, they can send pictures of the facility. From those pictures, Joe is able to offer suggestions for equipment and placement. And finally, after the products arrive at the church, if installation volunteers are unsure how to install it, Joe will Facetime with them and give technical support.
