Bose has unveiled its new ShowMatch DeltaQ line-array loudspeakers at the 2016 InfoComm Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company says the new design allows greater control in directivity for each module, improving sound quality by matching total array coverage to audience areas and improving phase and array coherency.
Optimized for both permanent installation and portable deployment, the ShowMatch system features field-changeable waveguides in each compact enclosure, giving each box 70 or 100-degree horizontal coverage. Boxes are also available with 5, 10, or 20-degree vertical coverage options. Each full-range loudspeaker contains four of the company's EMB2S extended high frequency compression drivers along with two 8-inch neodymium woofers.
An integrated rigging system allows for arrays up to 24 boxes. A matching single 18-inch subwoofer enclosure can be integrated into any flown array for extended low frequency support.
ShowMatch DeltaQ loudspeakers are scheduled to begin shipping in October 2016.
