High End Systems introduces its Showpix LED wash light and graphic image-displaying fixture, the first in its new line of Pixelation Luminaires. Showpix’s18-inch diameter head features a circular array of 127 three-watt LEDs with an output of 24,000 RGB lumens. Showpix is equipped with a PixelArt collection of custom created media files and images and is controlled using a standard DMX lighting console. The Eartec Company introduces the PCx-1000, a dual channel, multi station, full duplex wireless that allows up to eight people to communicate simultaneously within a quarter mile range. An unlimited number of push-to-talk users can also be added. PCx radios are engineered with a frequency-hopping architecture, Spread Spectrum, that allows all radios in a group to occupy a specific frequency for a fraction of a second so that transmissions cannot be interrupted. No base station or FCC license is required.

The Series 716 is a 120-volt multi-compartment striplight that accepts 12-volt, 75-watt MR16 lamps. It is available in 1-4 circuit versions, each comprised of 10 lamps wired in series for a maximum rating of 750 watts per circuit. Its low profile makes it an ideal unit for tight spaces where a general wash of light is desired. Custom trunnions allow multiple units to be linked together, providing not only support, but full rotation at each link.

HaiVision Systems Inc. announces version 8.1 of its MAKO-HD codec technology for telepresence. Featuring 70-millisecond latency for up to 1080p resolution, version 8.1 now supports both the inputs for HD video and computer signals simultaneously. Computer streams (full H.264) and full motion 60 frames per second can be transmitted to multiple network locations either in multicast or unicast and can be recorded with the video in real-time. Version 8.1 also supports HiLo streaming that transmits a low-resolution replica of its high definition stream.
